EnduroKA is back for our second Team TracKA of 2023!
The latest team to take the purple spotlight is RACELOGIC, who competed in their first season with series last year. The team enjoyed a strong start to their EnduroKA career, including a 6th place finish at the inaugural Schweinerennen - especially impressive considering every driver only passed their ARDS test just months earlier!
Now, thanks to Team TracKA and RACELOGIC’s Rob Barnett, we get to learn more about KA #192:
Interview:
- Can you introduce yourself and your team?
Rob Barnett, Global Brand Manager for VBOX Motorsport and I have been managing our RACELOGIC staff team that we first entered for the 2022 season. The plan was to take 5 members of staff from various departments with a range of backgrounds who were new to circuit racing and document the process of how to get in to motorsport and the highs and lows of a season of racing. We are back for 2023 with 3 new drivers and we will have guest drives from last season’s drivers as well as a few wild card entries, including at the first race of the season at Silverstone.
- What first drew you to EnduroKA?
Affordability, fun, track time and being able to have up to 6 drivers. I know Nick from NJM and our MD, Julian, had shared a car for a round in 2021 so he already knew of the series and what NJM/Moores Motors are about having set the fastest lap at Donington during the race in the Powerflex KA.
- What were RACELOGIC’s top highlights from their opening season?
Finishing 6th at Snetterton and 10th at Anglesey in the 24 hour race were certainly whole team highlights, but also the whole experience from everyone passing their ARDS test through to seeing the chequered flag at the end of the IndyKA500. Finishing every race with minimal repair bills was another plus and testimony to the series.
- What are you looking forward to most about the 2023 EnduroKA season?
Seeing people we know and just being back in the paddock with a new group of drivers and coaching them through their first season. It is a shame to be missing a 24 hour race, but the addition of Silverstone as the first round is a bonus as most of the UK based RACELOGIC staff live in the area with our HQ being only a few minutes up the road in Buckingham.
- The Team RACELOGIC YouTube videos made for a great watch last year. How much did the team enjoy making them?
It was a lot of fun (and hard work) but was a central piece to what we were doing. I think they are a great series to watch back and have for posterity so something I am quite proud of. This year has a slightly different focus for us as just repeating what we did in 2022 wouldn’t have had as much value, but we will still be doing the vlogs from each round and covering the race from our perspective.
