MSVT Racing are thrilled to welcome VBOX Motorsport as sponsors ahead of the 2024 season!
The company will be familiar to many in the paddock, either through their extensive range of motorsport products or from within the MSVT Racing paddock itself (more about that later!).
Join us in finding out more about our new sponsors, through a Q&A with VBOX Motorsport’s Global Brand Manager Rob Barnett;
Can you provide us with a brief introduction of who VBOX Motorsport are?
VBOX Motorsport is one of the RACELOGC brands focusing on a product range of hardware and software specifically for Motorsport. RACELOGIC was started in 1992 and is still owned by our founder Julian Thomas who is an active, and successful, racer in his own right.
What are VBOX Motorsport best known for?
You can find VBOX Motorsport products used in motorsport at all levels and in multiple disciplines around the world. We are probably best known for our performance meters and video dataloggers, but the range includes temperature sensors, a pit lane timer and even products specifically for use in sim racing. Most recently we launched VBOX HD Lite which is an action camera sized unit that records data as well as video and is aimed at club racers on a budget or those who don’t have space for a full VBOX Video HD2. When we say our products are designed for racing drivers, by racing drivers, we really do mean it. 10 of our UK office staff are race or rally licence holders, 2 of our French office are race licence holders and it is there are also 2 in our German office with 1 of our US employees a race and rally driver.
What drew you to sponsor MSVT Racing’s portfolio?
Having raced for the last 2 seasons in EnduroKA with NJM/Moores Motors, we’ve had the pleasure of experiencing first-hand what MSVT racing is all about, from the organisation through to the race weekends. The professional and friendly ethos runs through not only MSVT but the whole paddock and racing family connected with it. When the opportunity arose to become more actively involved with MSVT as a sponsor, to contribute and give back to the community, it was too good an opportunity to pass up. We’re looking forward to being able to add value to those taking part in 2024 and hopefully beyond.
Which is your favourite circuit to race/visit?
Whichever one I last won at normally! In all seriousness I don’t think I have an out and out favourite and it can even come down to what I am driving or what the weather is doing, I genuinely think I can say I have enjoyed aspects of every circuit I’ve ever driven.
How can people find VBOX Motorsport?
VBOX Motorsport can be found at www.vboxmotorsport.co.uk, but we’re also active on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X (Twitter), Threads and TikTok so go and give us a follow if you don’t already. We’ve got some exciting developments in 2024, so following our social channels or signing up to our newsletter is a good way to keep up to date. We also have a free to download eBook on our website which provides hints and tips on a whole range of topics written to help drivers looking to improve.
When asked about the new sponsorship, MSVT Championship Manager Stuart Garland commented:
‘It gives us great pleasure to announce that VBOX Motorsport are sponsoring MSVT’s racing portfolio for this forthcoming year. It was great having the team race with us in EnduroKA over the course of the past two seasons and we now keenly looking forward to this next step of our relationship in 2024.’
