The second-ever ‘Ynys Môn 24’ is almost here!
We’re less than two weeks away from EnduroKA returning to Anglesey’s Trac Môn Circuit for the series second 24-hour race. With an enviable location overlooking the Irish Sea and Snowdonia mountain range, the circuit offers an idyllic backdrop to go racing – through both the day and night!
Any endurance race requires huge effort, but a 24-hour race is an entirely different beast and one that every motorsport enthusiast has to experience. EnduroKA’s first running of ‘Ynys Môn 24’ (Welsh for Anglesey Island 24) in 2022 provided a heap of excitement, culminating in each and every single one of the KAs who entered the event finishing. It was a momentous occasion, with AxiaMetrics team of Chris Weatherill, Dominic Jackson, Nigel Griffiths and Kristian Rose eventually triumphing after 884 laps of the Anglesey Coastal Circuit.
Fresh from victory at Donington Park last time out, MilnAir Racing are amongst the Anglesey entry hoping to make it two wins in a row, but there will be plenty looking to take the spoils themselves. Which team will add their name to the history books as only the second EnduroKA 24-hour winners? Only time will tell.
The Trac Môn Circuit offers plenty in the way of both excitement and challenge. Competitors will get to experience Wales answer to the Corkscrew, as well as the 10% banked hairpin and tricky corners such as Rocket and Peel. Consistency will prove key to podium success, but just finishing a 24-hour race takes tremendous team effort, creating a whole host of lifelong memories along the way.
Adding to the anticipation for this event, the entire 24-hours of racing WILL be live-streamed on the MSVT Racing YouTube page. This gives perfect opportunity for fans, sponsors, friends and family who can’t attend the event to cheer along their favourite Ford KA twice around the clock, while also enabling teams to keep on eye on all the action live from the circuit.
Arrive & Drive options for Ynys Môn 24 are available.
As always with EnduroKA, it’s not just the racing that will be hotly-contested. Each team will be doing their upmost to claim a special ‘Ynys Mon 24’ Dagenham Dustbin - awarded to the KA which the marshals deem to best-presented. Last time out, at Donington Park, LDR Performance Tuning won the award for their new livery, ‘The KAke Mobile’, which pays homage to driver (or Superhero!) David Bywater.
Anglesey, EnduroKA is ready for you.
