It’s almost time for the 2025 Brands Hatch Indy, KA 500!!!
EnduroKA’s traditional highlight season finale returns on the weekend of 15/16 November, with qualifying on Saturday and the race on Sunday. This has always been a spectacular event for drivers, spectators and teams alike, as a bumper grid of Mk1 Ford KAs battle into the night at the iconic Kent circuit.
Referred to as ‘the jewel in EnduroKA’s crown’, the Brands Hatch Indy, KA 500 requires the best of both competitor and KA. While it may be an event that showcases the camaraderie and creativity of the series and its drivers, it also provides a highly competitive platform for the final trophies of the season.
Incredibly, the previous six renditions of the event have produced six different winners! Will it be seven from seven in 2025, or will we have our first-ever repeat victors?
We can’t wait to find out!
Last year’s winner Autotech Motorsport are amongst the expected entry, alongside 2023 winners PRO-AM Racing. Both teams will be looking to challenge for the victory in Kent once more, while the likes of MilnAir Racing and KaHoona’s Race Team will be looking to utilise their fine recent form to secure their first Brands Hatch Indy, KA 500 winner trophies.
Other teams looking to challenge for the trophies (and milk bottles!) include series regulars, such as: Burton Power Racing, AFK Racing, Wolf Motorsport and 11Tenths Racing.
Racing into the night at Brands Hatch is a rare opportunity and definitely one that should be on the bucket list of all racers. The challenge of corners like Paddock Hill Bend, Druids Hairpin and Clearways have another dimension added to them as the sun begins to set – something that any driver who has competed in the Brands Hatch Indy, KA 500 will be able to tell you!
Night racing also presents an opportunity for teams to further display their creativity, with many donning colourful lights to illuminate the Kent sky and help their challenge for the prestigious Dagenham Dustbin, which is awarded to the KA that the Orange Army in attendance deem to be best-presented.
Shine Automotive won the Dagenham Dustbin at Croft last time out and will be looking to defend their award at Brands Hatch, but expect there to be plenty of fierce competition!
EnduroKAs, start your engines!
