Another season of KA racing comes to a close at Brands Hatch with the seventh running of the Brands Hatch Indy KA 500 on 14–15 November. This year’s EnduroKA season finale will also mark the culmination of the circuit’s year-long centenary celebrations, with the 500-minute endurance race set to be the final race of Brands Hatch’s first 100 years!
Brands Hatch has been a fixture on the EnduroKA calendar since the series’ inception in 2019, hosting the season finale every year. The November event presents a unique challenge, as teams race into the night, navigating the transition from daylight through dusk and into darkness.
A true test of endurance, the Brands Hatch Indy KA 500 boasts a remarkable record: no team has ever won the event more than once. Since its debut, every running of the race has produced a different overall winner, adding another layer of intrigue to this year’s season finale!
As one of the highlights of the EnduroKA calendar, the Brands Hatch event has attracted some notable names over the years, including BTCC Champion Tim Harvey, F1 team principal Éric Boullier and 2015 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Nick Tandy. Tandy, alongside current BTCC driver Lewis Selby, James Rhodes and Elliot Mason, claimed the event’s inaugural victory in the JTR KA back in 2019.
Newly crowned British GT Champion Marcus Clutton has also been a regular on the Brands Hatch Indy KA 500 grid over the years. He returns to competition at the Kent circuit alongside teammate and fellow champion Simon Orange, although this time they’ll be racing against each other rather than as teammates. Clutton joins Lee Taylor in the No. 95 “Ka-Chow” KA, while Orange joins the No. 40 “TouringKA Racing” team alongside Gordon Sawyer, Matthew Robinson and Chris Horsey.
Of course, the line-up wouldn’t be complete without some previous Brands Hatch Indy KA 500 winners! The 2023 victors, PRO-AM Racing, return with a strong line-up of race winners, including Aaron Cooke, Adam Blair, Scott Parkin and Oliver Furnell, better known to many as YouTube’s “Basic Ollie”.
The 2024 winners, Autotech Motorsport, and 2025 winners, MilnAir, will also be looking to make KA history by becoming the first team to win the event twice. With the added prize of becoming the final race winners of Brands Hatch’s first 100 years! With many familiar faces also returning to the EnduroKA paddock this November, the bumper grid promises another fiercely contested race that will be difficult to call!
As is tradition at EnduroKA races, the series will award the prestigious Dagenham Dustbin trophy to one lucky KA team. The custom trophy is awarded to the team whose car is voted the meeting’s “best presented” by the event marshals, with teams rewarded for their livery, presentation and, often, their ability to keep going!
Spectator entry on Sunday 15 November is free, although admission on Saturday 14 November is payable. Action from both days of competition will be livestreamed via the MSVT Racing YouTube channel.
We look forward to seeing which team will make history as the final race winner of Brands Hatch’s first 100 years!
