EnduroKA looks ahead to Round 5 of 2022..

22 August 2022

The EnduroKA summer break is almost finally over! Attention now turns fully to Oulton Park for the series’ penultimate event of 2022.

We’ve witnessed some fantastic endurance racing this year, with tactical masterclasses and hard racing both regularly on display at the first four rounds. We expect this theme to continue at the Cheshire circuit, as the ever-popular track continues to dazzle both drivers and spectators alike. The impressive International format includes many a corner to test cars handling ability too, notably including: the banked Shell Oils corner and two tricky chicanes in Britten’s and Hislops.

A number of undulating curves through the picturesque countryside provide plenty of moments of beauty, but don’t be mistaken, Oulton Park can be an unforgiving track. Drivers will have to keep focused at all times to maximise their chances of succeeding, over the course of five hour endurance test.

Thanks to extremely challenging conditions, last year’s visit to Oulton was one of the toughest to date. However, the race will go down in EnduroKA history as it eventually resulted in the series’ first ever one-two finish. IP Racing #63 were the victors, followed home by their #36 car also on the lead lap. Given IP Racing have already recorded two victories in 2022, all eyes will be focused on the outfit to see if they can make it a hat-trick of victories for the year.

Victory will be no easy feat for IP Racing mind you, as there are a number of competitive and consistently quick KA’s signed up and ready for the fight.

In addition, we expect the battle for the prestigious Dagenham Dustbin to be as hotly-contest as it has been all season, with a plethora of ingenious and colorful KA’s on display. Wolf Motorsport’s ‘Pink Pig’ fittingly claiming the honour last time out at the ‘Schweinerennen’.
