A look back at a fantastic 12 months...

22 December 2022

2022 was a historic year for EnduroKA, as we welcomed our first-ever 24 hour race! The debuting Ynys Mon 24 was well received, with a solid number of KA’s descending on the coastal circuit at Anglesey for an almighty endurance test. What makes the event even more impressive is that every single KA that entered finished - a fantastic achievement!

Large grids and epic racing have again been the theme of the year, as the series continues to prove extremely popular with both novices and veterans alike. The season opener at Donington Park kicked the year off with a bang, as a 45-strong grid put on a gripping display over the course of five hours racing. Yippe-KA-Yay secured victory, with all three podium places finishing on the lead lap. The competitiveness of the 2022 field was made clearly apparent next up at KAdwell Park, as the podium was comprised of three teams who didn’t finish on the podium at the season opener! We were treated to many compelling battles throughout the field and there were a large number of standout performances, including eventual race winners IP Racing – their second successive victory at the Lincolnshire circuit!

We welcomed a third different winner from the opening three races next up in Wales, with AxiaMetrics cementing themselves firmly into the EnduroKA history books with victory at the first 24-hour race. The first repeat winner of the year was IP Racing, who put in a fantastic display next up at Snetterton in the inaugural ‘Schweinerennen’. There was plenty of action to be found both on and off the track, including the series’ debut ‘Off The Hoof’ running race, which proved fantastically entertaining for all those in attendance. In the penultimate event of the year at Oulton Park, Ynys Mon 24 winners AxiaMetrics joined IP Racing as double race winners in 2022. Technical difficulties for the team ensured a dramatic finish and the lead was less than 2.5secs as the checkered flag dropped! Plenty of KA’s had enjoyed spells at the front and, once more, the battle for the podium was intense.

The Brands Hatch Indy KA 500 has become a jewel in EnduroKA’s crown and the flagship end of season event again attracted a sell-out number of KAs. Anticipation was high and the race certainly didn’t disappoint. Throughout the day (and night!) there was a competitiveness that was clear for all to see and it’s no surprise we saw an array of KAs lead the race. IP Racing #36 topped off a stellar year with the final top step, making it a hattrick of wins for the team.

A huge KAngratulations goes out to all those who competed this season – you certainly made this year a special one!

There’s plenty to be excited about with EnduroKA in 2023, including a Winter Sim Series, so be sure to follow our socials and website to never miss an update!
